We (and by "we" I mean myself, Aunt Margaret, Fiona and Jen) picked out the wedding cake today and it ROCKS! Absolutely gorgeous. Not your typical white lacy wedding cake. It's going to match our wedding colors of red and silver. We took a trip to the bakery to do a cake tasting and look at all the cakes they have on display. Most all the cakes were a variation of the same standard wedding cake. I wanted something different. As we were leaving, Aunt Margaret spotted one on a bottom corner shelf and we all agreed, that's the cake I'm looking for. Score one for the wedding committee.
Then we went shopping for Fiona's brides maid dress. She tried on seven dresses and we found one perfect for her. It's strapless but long and she looked so sophisticated and grown up. As James pointed out, we'll have a sign on her back that says "MINOR - STAY AWAY". Score two for the wedding committee.
